The MANAV SEWA AWARD has been instituted by Baba Deep Singh Ji Shahid Charitable Society (Regd.) & it is presented every year to the personality who has devoted his life in the welfare of society & humanity. This award is being presented since 1991 without distinction of casts creed or colour. Since 1991 this award has been presented to the following: -

1991.: Giani Bakhshish Singh Atwal - He is a famous RAGI & living encyclopedia of Sikh history.
1992.: Mr. Sanjiv Kaushal - IAS He brought all around development of Faridabad during the tenure of his posting at Faridabad as municipal commissioner.
1993.: Bhagat Pooran Singh Founder of PINGALWARA (Posthumous) - He devoted his whole life to the care & cure of the patients & mental retarded people
1994.: Sardarni Joginder Kaur Khalsa ( Patron member of society) - She has devoted her life for the cause of society & all around development of the locality.
1995.: Ch.Avtar Singh Bhadana - He is a true friend and Sewak of poor.
1996.: Mr. Henry Allan(Birmingham England ) - He is a social worker of society.
1997.: S. Avtar Singh Jawanda (World famous Power Weight Lifter & Gold medalist) - He is selflessly serving the poor & mental retarded people.He has won several gold medals and created new records
1998.: S. Khushwant Singh (writer & journalist) - He translated Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in English. He returned all his awards & distinctions to the govt. of India in protest of the massacre of Sikhs in 1984.
1999.: Mr. Anand Mohan Saran IAS - He is a selfless reformer of poor.
2000.: Mr. K.C. Arora(Patron member of Society ) - He is a helper to poor & needy & extends help without asking.
2001.: Baba Amte - He is actively engaged and doing his best to cure & rehabilitation of the cripples & also fighting for the protection of environment.
2002.: Mrs. Maneka Gandhi - She has done an appreciable work in the protection of animals & environment.
2003.: Mr. R.N.Lakhotia - He preached for vegetarian diet internationally.
2004.: Pro. Ram Prakash Goel- he is doing his best to promote women education.
2005.: Bhai Jasbir Singh Ji Khalsa Khanne wale(Founder of Guru Harkrishan charitable eye hospital Sohala,Mohali Punjab)
2006.: S. Bishan Singh Bedi.(International Cricket Player)-Trained children to be good player
2007.: Dr. R.P.Bajpai (Vice Chancellor Guru Jambheshwar University,Hisar Haryana) He has done remarkable job in the field of education
2008.: Dr. Rupinder Singh (Managing Director SHAAN-E-KHALSA) –Help the needy students in education and Kirtan field.Fighting against the dad customes spread in Sikh society.
2009.: S.Pargat Singh (Director Sports,Punjab) – He enlightened the name of nation in the field of Hockey.
2010.: Padam Shri Raghu Rai Ji. He enlightened the name of nation in the field of Photography.
2011.: Narayan sewa Sansthan Udaipur,Rajasthan. –were doing their best to cure and rehabilitate the handicapped.
2012.: Sri. D.R.Mehta. (Faunder and chief patron of Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayta Samiti,Jaipur.) He devoted his life to help the handicapped.
